Sony has finally introduced its cheapest phone this year with Xperia Ace 2 today. The new Sony Xperia Ace 2 will arrive in colors Black, Blue, and White colors. It will not arrive anytime soon in India. The new Xperia Ace 2 will go on sale on May 28 2021 in Japan.

The new Xperia Ace 2 reminds us of the predecessor as it looks similar to it. It features dual rear cameras aligned vertically. It comes with a plastic back and waterproof support with an IP68 rating. The Sony Xperia Ace 2 will also feature a microSD card slot along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It measures 8.3 mm thick and weighs 159g.

The new Sony Xperia Ace 2 will sport the 5.5 inches HD+ IPS LCD panel on the front. Do note that the FHD panel will even come with a 60Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ support. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the front of the device.
The new Sony Xperia Ace 2 is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. It will feature dual rear cameras with a 13MP main sensor coupled with a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. There is an 8MP selfie camera on the front.
All this is packed with a 4500 mAh battery with 10W standard charging. It runs on Android 11 OS with Sony UI on top. It also features an IP68 rating which makes the device dust and water-resistant.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G, LTE, and VoLTE support, Dual-band Wifi Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack. It is priced at JPY 22,000 (Rs.14,900/-) in Japan.
