After a successful feature phone aka the JioPhone series in India, the company is now looking out to launch affordable 4G smartphones. In the past, we saw reports suggesting that Jio might bring affordable 4G and 5G Android smartphones soon in India. Now we have some major announcements made by Reliance Jio.
As per the source, Reliance Jio is now teaming up with popular Chinese brand itel to launch its first 4G Android phone. Yes, Jio and itel will soon launch the affordable 4G phone in India and the deal will be done sometime in May. Both the brand will join hands and make a cheaper smartphone for India. The report also hints that the brand is making phones for those who are shifting from feature phones to smartphones. So probably not a powerful smartphone though so don’t expect much.
Sadly, no word on the specs, name of the phone, or design of the device at the moment. The new Jio-itel phone will be out sometime in May as per the source. So we can see Reliance selling itel phones with its Jio plans at an affordable price tag soon in India.
