Sony has finally introduced its very first flagship this year with Xperia 1 III & Xperia 5 III today. The new Sony Xperia 1 III will arrive in colors Frosted Black and Frosted Purple, whereas the Xperia 5 III in Black and Green colors. It will not arrive anytime soon in India. The new Xperia 1 III & Xperia 5 III will go on sale in Summer 2021.
Sony Xperia 1 III:
After the success of Xperia 1 II Sony finally launches the successor aka the new Xperia 1 III. The new Xperia 1 III reminds us of the predecessor as it looks similar to it. It features triple rear cameras with a ToF sensor aligned vertically and the arrangement is similar to Xperia Pro. It comes with premium metal chassis with a glossy glass back. The Sony Xperia III will also feature a microSD card slot along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It measures 8.2 mm thick and weighs 187g.

The new Sony Xperia 1 III will sport the World’s first 6.5 inches 4K HDR OLED panel on the front. Do note that the massive 4K panel will even come with a 120Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ and 10bit color depth support. It also features TRILUMINOS Display for mobile, X-Reality for mobile, and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on both front and back of the device.
The new Sony Xperia 1 III is powered by SD888 SoC. It is coupled with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB storage space. It gets 12.5x Hybrid zoom with RGB-IR, OIS support. The rear camera can record 4K HDR Movie recording 24, 25, 30, 60, and 120fps slow-motion. The new Sony Xperia 1 III comes with Cybershot camera optimization to give better picture quality. All this is packed with a 4500 mAh battery with 30W fast charging & Qi Wireless charging support. It runs on Android 11 OS with Sony UI on top. It also features IP65/68 rating which makes the device dust and water-resistant.
