After launching the Galaxy A80 almost two years back which was something experimental smartphone. Now the company is looking to launch the successor next in the coming weeks with Galaxy Quantum2. Yes, the Galaxy Quantum was previously launched in South Korea and we have the successor which might be rebranded as Galaxy A82.
In the past, the alleged Galaxy A82 aka Galaxy Quantum2 was certified by various certifications. Now we finally got the detailed specs along with images showing the new Galaxy Quantum2 or Galaxy A82. As per the source, the new Galaxy Quantum2 will not have anything different design that was leaked in the past. This might be disappointing as Samsung will ship with the standard design which we saw with Galaxy A52.
The source revealed that Galaxy Quantum2 or Galaxy A82 will come with 6.7 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rates. The good news is that it will come with an IP67 rating making it waterproof. It still comes with a plastic unibody design without any moving parts.
On the back, the Galaxy Quantum2 will feature triple cameras with a 64MP Sony IMX686 main sensor with OIS. The remaining two sensor details are still under wrap. The new Galaxy A82 or Galaxy Quantum2 will be powered by two-year-old SD855+/SD860 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.
It is packed with a 4500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The Galaxy Quantum2 runs on Android 11 OS with One UI 3.1 on top. It also gets MST support for making payments without any card. This time Samsung will bundle a transparent case along with earphones and a 15W charger.
The new Galaxy Quantum2 or Galaxy A82 will be launching in South Korea on April 23. As of now, there is no word about the International launch as Galaxy A82.
