After the launch of Motorola Edge S in late Jan in China this year, finally Motorola has extended the device as Moto G100 for Global markets. Yes, Motorola launches the new affordable 5G phone aka Moto G100 today. Moto G100 comes in Iridescent Sky, Iridescent Ocean, and Slate Grey colors. It will go on sale right from today in markets like European and select Latin American.
Design:
The new Moto G100 will again remind us of Moto Edge S which launched earlier this year and is nothing but a rebadged smartphone. It comes with all polycarbonate back along with a square-shaped quad-camera setup. It features a Moto dimple that doubles up as a fingerprint scanner on the back.
Specs:
The new Moto G100 sports 6.7 inches FHD+ IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rates. It also gets HDR10 support. The new Moto G100 is powered by last year’s flagship chipset SD870 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.
On the back, the Moto G100 features a 64MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture. There is a 16MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 along with a 2MP depth and a macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 & LED flash. It also gets Laser AF support and comes with a 4K at 30fps video recording feature.
On the front, the Moto G100 features a dual selfie shooter with a 16MP main sensor and 8MP ultra-wide sensor. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE, 5G NSA, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.1, A-GPS, GLONASS, Dual Frequency GPS, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack & NFC.
All this is backed by a larger 5000 mAh battery with 20W fast charging support. It also gets a dedicated Google Assistant key. The Moto G100 5G will set you back at a price tag of £449.99 (Rs.44,900/-) in Europe.
