OnePlus has finally launched the next big flagship killer with the OnePlus 9 series today in India. After the success of the OnePlus 8T, we finally have the new OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and the budget OnePlus 9R. The new OnePlus 9 & OnePlus 9 Pro will go on sale from April 1.

OnePlus 9:

The new OnePlus 9 will come with almost similar looks to the OnePlus 8T. It will still ship with the flat punch-hole display on the front. It measures 8.7mm thick and weighs 192g. The OnePlus 9 will sport 6.55 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution.

The OnePlus 9 5G comes powered by SD888 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage option. On the imaging specs, the OnePlus 9 5G features a 48MP main Sony IMX789 custom sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra-wide with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP mono sensor with LED flash. It can shoot 4K video at 30/60fps. There is a 16MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch. The OnePlus 9 comes with the new Hasselblad camera tech which makes the device unique. It comes with OIS and EIS support.

The connectivity option includes Wifi 6, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, Dual SIM with 4G LTE and 5G support, USB Type-C port, and in-display fingerprint scanner. The new OnePlus 9 will comes with a price tag of Rs.49,999/- for 8GB+128GB & 12GB+256GB at Rs.54,999/-. It will arrive in three colors with Astral Black, Arctic Mist, and Winter Mist in India.

OnePlus 9 Pro 5G:

The new OnePlus 9 Pro will come with almost similar looks to the OnePlus 8 Pro. It will still ship with the slightly curved punch-hole display on the front. It measures 8.7mm thick and 197g weighs. The OnePlus 9 Pro will sport 6.67 inches QHD+ AMOLED display with 1440 x 3216 pixels resolution. It will also come with a 120Hz refresh rate with HDR10+ support and an LTPO panel.

The OnePlus 9 Pro 5G comes powered by SD888 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage option. On the imaging specs, the OnePlus 9 Pro 5G features a 48MP main Sony IMX789 custom sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra-wide with f/2.2 aperture, 8MP telephoto lens with 3.3x optical zoom, and a 2MP mono sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. The OnePlus 9 Pro will come in three colors with Morning Mist, Stellar Black, and Pine Green in India. The launch offers include flat 10% cashback for American Express card users and an additional Rs.1000/- back in the form of a OnePlus coupon.

OnePlus 9R 5G:

OnePlus has also announced its first affordable flagship with the new OnePlus 9R in India. The new OnePlus 9R will be limited to India and may not expand to another market. The new OnePlus 9R too comes with flagship-like specs similar to the OnePlus 9 series but at an affordable price tag.

The new OnePlus 9R 5G looks similar to the OnePlus 9 in terms of design and features not three but quad-rear cameras with LED flash. It carries in two colors with Carbon Black and Lake Blue. It measures 8.7mm thick and weighs 189g. The new OnePlus 9R 5G sports 6.55 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rates. It gets 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

The new OnePlus 9R is India’s first smartphone powered by SD870 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. On the imaging side, it downgrades as it doesn’t feature Hasselblad camera tech. The new OnePlus 9R features a Sony IMX586 48MP main sensor with f/1.8, 16MP Sony IMX481 123-degrees ultra-wide sensor along with a 5MP macro and 2MP depth sensor of /2.4 aperture each. It comes with OIS and EIS support.

The new OnePlus 9R will feature a 16MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch. It gets some additional gaming features like VC cooling(Vapour Chamber), Pro Gaming Mode, Immersive Haptic feedback, Stereo speakers.
