Samsung has finally announced its budget smartphone aka the Galaxy M12 in India today. The Galaxy M12 is the direct successor to last year’s launched Galaxy M11. The new Galaxy M12 will arrive in three colours with Attractive Black, Elegant Blue, and Trendy Emerald Green.
The Galaxy M12 will again ship with a polycarbonate back with a textured back and measures 9.7 mm thick. It weighs around 221g which is heavier due to the large battery. The new Galaxy M12 sports 6.4 inches HD+ Infinity-V TFT LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The new Galaxy M12 is powered by an Exynos 850 SoC 2.0 GHz Octa-Core processor coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM & 64GB/128GB internal storage.
On the back, the Galaxy M12 features triple rear cameras with a 48MP main sensor having an aperture of f/2.0, a 5MP ultra-wide (115-degree) sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a dual 2MP depth plus macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and LED flash. There is an 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0.
All this is packed with a larger 6000 mAh battery and comes with 15W fast charging support. The new Galaxy M12 runs on Android 11 with One UI 3.0 on top. The device also keeps the 3.5 mm jack, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, and also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy M12 is priced at Rs.10,999/- for 4GB+64GB and Rs.13,499/- for 6GB+128GB in India. Samsung also offering flat Rs.1000/- off for ICICI Credit card users on the first sale. The new Galaxy M12 will go on sale from March 18 through Amazon and all leading offline retail outlets.
