Previously Xiaomi China had launched the new faster and lighter version of MIUI aka the MIUI 12.5 alongside Mi 11. Now Xiaomi had officially announced the global version of MIUI 12.5 with some new features. Yes, Xiaomi today announced the global version of MIUI 12.5 which comes with a faster and smoother UI than the predecessor.
Sadly, the MIUI 12.5 Global will not get the features like MIUI+, MIUI Haptic, New Privacy features nor the New Sound effects which the Chinese version got. Xiaomi also revealed the timeline along with the list of devices that will surely get the MIUI 12.5 update for Global markets.
The first lot of devices will start receiving the new MIUI 12.5 Global update right from Q2 of 2021. The first lot devices include Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Mi 11. Later a second lot of devices will start receiving the update from late Q2 2021.
The second lot of devices includes Mi 10T Lite 5G, Mi 10T Lite, Mi Note 10 Pro, Mi Note 10, Mi Note 10 Lite, Redmi Note 9T, Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi 9. Do note that these are the devices that were launched outside India and still we have no update about when will the update hit devices launched in India.
