Previously we got the rumors about the Snapdragon 888+ SoC launch leaked by one of the Chinese tipsters. We even got the alleged renders showing the new Redmi K40 Pro. Now we have some new leak coming out which probably shock us as Xiaomi working closely with Qualcomm for the new SD7xx series chipset.
As per the source, Xiaomi is closely working with the Qualcomm team for the upcoming Snapdragon 7 series chipset. The source revealed the codename of the upcoming SD7xx series chipset which is SM7350. As per previous launches, the SM7350 was the codename for SD730G/SD720G series, the SM7250 was codenamed for SD765G/SD768G SoC.
So from this, we can confirm that the SM7350 might be the successor aka the SD775 SoC codename. The source got to know about the unannounced SM7350 through Mi 11 Kernel source which confirms Xiaomi might launch a device soon. Sadly, nothing much about the device nor the chipset is known but the source expects it could be the Redmi K40.
