Xiaomi has finally unveiled the new 5G version of Redmi Note 9 series in China today. The new Redmi Note 9 5G series includes Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9 pro 5G & Redmi Note 9 4G. All the three devices do come with some minor design changes when compared with previously launched Global version of Redmi Note 9 series.
Redmi Note 9 5G:
Redmi Note 9 5G will sport punch-hole display now the hole is been moved to the left corner of the display. The new Redmi Note 9 5G will sport 6.53 inches FHD+ IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The Redmi Note 9 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage. It comes with a microSD card slot too.
The new Redmi Note 9 5G features quad-rear cameras with 48MP Samsung GM1 main sensor with f/1.9 aperture, 8MP Ultra-wide sensor f/2.2 aperture and 2MP macro with an aperture of f/2.4 with LED flash. The Redmi Note 9 5G comes with 13MP selfie shooter.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE, 5G and VoLTE, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, IR Blaster, NFC, and 3.5 mm audio jack. The Redmi Note 9 5G with 6GB+128GB cost 1299 Yuan (Rs.14,600/-), 8GB+128GB at 1499 Yuan (Rs.16,900/-). Lastly, the 8GB+256GB at 1699 Yuan (Rs.19,000/-) in China.
Redmi Note 9 4G:
The new Redmi Note 9 4G with weird rectangular camera module on the back similar to Realme 7 series. The Redmi Note 9 4G will feature waterdrop display on the front with slimmer bezels. The Redmi Note 9 4G will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner similar to the predecessor. It weighs around 198g and measures 9.6 mm thick. Remaining on the specs side the Redmi Note 9 4G is nothing but rebranded version of POCO M3.
The new Redmi Note 9 4G will sport 6.53 inches FHD+ IPS LCD waterdrop display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ on top. The Redmi Note 9 4G is powered by SD662 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The device arrives in four colours with Dawn Orange” “Misty blue” “Smoke blue” & “Feather black.

Redmi Note 9 4G will cost anywhere between 999 Yuan (Rs.10,000/-) for 4GB+128GB. The 6GB+128GB at 1099 Yuan (Rs.12,500/-) & 8GB+128GB at 1299 Yuan (Rs.14,800/-) in China.
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G:
Xiaomi also announced its more affordable 5G phone in China with Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G aka the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The new Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is nothing but the rebranded version of Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G with slight design and internal changes.

Yes, the new Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G comes with an almost similar design as POCO X3 but with more powerful chipset inside. The new Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G comes with a 3D curved frosted glass body with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device measures 10.08 mm thick and weighs 225 grams.
