Looks like we have got bad news for those who are still looking to buy the perfect smart feature phone aka JioPhone. Yes, even after launching the super successful JioPhone two years back, the device is being used by massive people in India. Now the company is planning to increase the cost of the JioPhone.
The JioPhone was initially launched at a price tag of Rs.1499/- and then later was reduced to Rs.699/-. Currently, the device is selling for around Rs.699/- in India but the new report reveals the prices will increase again. As per the reports, the new JioPhone prices will now go up by Rs.300/- in India.
This sounds a bit weird as the device is almost three years old and is still getting a price hike. The report also claims that Jio might make the price hike official in the coming days. So finally the new JioPhone will now price at Rs.999/-. Not just that, Jio will also announce a new plan which will cost Rs.125/- so the total cost with this plan will rise to Rs.1124/-.
The report also confirms that the new units of JioPhone will be powered by Qualcomm chipsets only.
