Acer has now announced its very first smart speaker today with the new Acer Halo. Previously we saw Acer only launching PC and laptops for the user and this time the company has some different plans. Anyway, the Acer Halo looks strikingly similar to Google Nest Audio in terms of design.
The Acer Halo comes with a cylindrical-shaped speaker with cuboid corners but gets additional RGB LED lights on the bottom of the device. The Acer Halo features fabric material protection and comes in a single colour with Grey. The base is transparent which glows the LED during music playback.
On the top, we have all the control buttons like volume up/down, play/pause and power button. The Acer Halo comes with two far-field microphones & becomes the first Google Assistant based speaker to ship with DTS surround sound. Not just that the Acer Halo also features a dot-matrix display on the front which shows weather info, countdown timer, and icons and animations which none of them got.
The Acer Halo Smart Speaker will sell for €119 (Rs.10,500/-) in Europe and goes on sale from Dec 2020 & $109 (Rs.8000/-) in the US when it launches in North America in the first quarter of 2021.
