Previously we got leaks revealing the key specs and official name of the upcoming Jio first Android smartphone. We even got reports suggesting about Jio plans to make the first 5G phone completely made in India. Now we have new reports coming in that reveals the pricing details about the cheapest ever 5G phone in India.
As per the reports, the new JioPhone is on works and would arrive with 5G support out of the box. The report also reveals that the upcoming JioPhone 5G would be the cheapest 5G phone in India as it will be priced under Rs.5000/- segment. Yes, you heard it right the upcoming JioPhone 5G would cost somewhere around Rs.2500 to Rs.3000/- in India.
So currently the cheaper 5G phone cost around Rs.25,000/- which is the OnePlus Nord. ith introduction of JioPhone 5G at that low price we might see a tough competition to Chinese smartphone makers as it would cost them a huge loss. Anyway, 5G is still far away to go official in India as the Govt has not yet allocated spectrum to telecom service providers for carrying out 5G trails.
The report reveals that JioPhone 5G would be going official later next year whereas the cheaper 4G Android phone will arrive by end of this year.
