After announcing the new Android 11 aka the full version of OS we now have trimmed down or lighter version of the same. Yes, Google has finally unveiled the next iteration of Android Go OS with Android 11 Go Edition.
The new Android 11 Go Edition will be powering entry-level devices with 2GB or less RAM this time. Yes, this time Google has increased the reach to even 2GB RAM models who will not get the full version of Android 11 anymore and are forced to launch with lighter Android 11 Go Edition for a smoother experience.
The new Android 11 Go Edition brings some minor improvements in performance along with new privacy features. Android 11 Go Edition will get a 20% increase in app launching when compared with the predecessor. As we saw with Android 11 full version the new Android 11 Go Edition too will get the same privacy and security features. The new privacy and security features will include one-time permission and permission auto-reset for apps.
Finally, the new Android 11 Go Edition will also bring Gesture-based navigation system even for low-end devices. Other feature also includes instant reply from notification panel which is termed as Conversation. As of now, the new Android 11 Go Edition will hit only a few devices such as from Nokia and we might see some new devices launching later this year.
