Xiaomi finally introduces the cheaper Redmi 9 in India today. The new Redmi 9 is nothing but the rebranded version of Redmi 9C which launched globally. The Redmi 9 will arrive in sporty Orange, Sky Blue and Carbon Black colours.
The Redmi 9 will go on sale from Aug 31 via Amazon and Mi.com in India. The Redmi 9 with 4GB+64GB cost Rs.8999/- and 4GB+128GB at Rs.9999/- in India.
The new Redmi 9 look identical from the front with waterfall display. The back of the device the Redmi 9 looks almost different than the predecessor and comes with a polycarbonate back. Redmi 9 sports 6.53 inches HD+ IPS LCD dot drop screen.
Redmi 9 with MediaTek Helio G35 SoC which is the latest budget gaming chipset. The Redmi 9 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage with a dedicated microSD card slot.
The Redmi 9 features triple rear cameras with main 13Mp f/2.2 aperture, 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture with LED flash. On the front, the Redmi 9 features 5MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2. Redmi 9 measures 9 mm thick and weighs over 194g.
The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, USB Type-C port, FM Radio and 3.5 mm audio jack. The Redmi 9 features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Redmi 9 packs 5000 mAh battery with 10W fast charging and runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top.
