Looks like Xiaomi has been affected the most with most of its apps were banned by the Indian Government due to data security breach. Now after almost a month of banning the apps, Xiaomi has given an official statement on the same.
As per the company, the new version of MIUI will not include the banned apps like Clean Master, Mi Community or the Mi Browser. Xiaomi also clarified that Mi Cleaner is not the same as the Clean Master app which was banned recently. Further, Xiaomi also promised that 100% of data by Indian users is stored on servers in India.
This is a major move by Xiaomi as most of the servers were of China-based previously. This is the first time that Xiaomi MIUI 12 will not include any of the banned apps aka bloatware which were common in the past. So hopefully Xiaomi must also stop showing ads too in the coming months.
Lastly, the new MIUI 12 will start rolling out by this month in a phased manner.
