Looks like we have one more budget 5G phone in works from Xiaomi under the Redmi series with Redmi Note 9 5G. Yes, Redmi might expand its Note 9 series with new 5G variant soon. Previously we saw Redmi 10X series in China which was known to be the cheapest 5G phone from the company.
As per the tipster, Xiaomi is now planning to introduce cheaper 5G phone soon with Redmi Note 9 5G. The alleged Redmi Note 9 5G might be landing soon in China soon. The new Redmi Note 9 5G will come with IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rates.
The Redmi Note 9 5G will be using SD765G SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Redmi Note 9 5G might even use the recently announced cheaper SD690 SoC with 5G support. The new Redmi Note 9 5G might come with downgraded cameras with 48MP quad-sensor. The Redmi Note 9 5G will pack larger 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
The Redmi Note 9 5G might come with a price tag of 1499 Yuan (Rs.16,100/-) for 6GB+128GB version in China.
