Honor India finally launched its last year mid-range smartphone the Honor 9X Pro in India today. The new Honor 9X Pro comes in Midnight Black and Phantom Purple colours. The new Honor 9X Pro is the first-ever smartphone without Google Services in India. Yes, it will feature HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS), HUAWEI AppGallery app store instead of Google Play Services.
The new Honor 9X Pro will have a single variant with 6GB+128GB which is priced at Rs.17,999/- in India. For the first sale, Honor is offering flat Rs.3000/- off which comes down to Rs.14,999/- in India. The launch offer includes free one-time screen replacement within 3 months from date of purchase. It will go on sale from May 21 via Flipkart.
The Honor 9X Pro sports 6.59 inches IPS LCD FHD+ 19.5:9 2.5D curved display. The new Honor 9X Pro measures 8.8 mm thick and weighs around 206 grams. Both the devices come with similar design with unique X shaped glow on the back. The new Honor 9X Pro comes with NINE liquid cooling tech.
The Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro are powered by same Kirin 810 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage option. It also features a microSD card slot for further storage expansion.
The new Honor 9X Pro features dual and triple rear cameras with LED flash. The Honor 9X Pro comes with the same set of cameras with a 48MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.79, 0.8μm pixel size, 2MP secondary depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 with the third camera only on Honor 9X Pro featuring 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.4 and LED flash.
The Honor 9X Pro comes with a 16MP pop-up selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2. The sad fact is both the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro doesn’t feature in-display but side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The other connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5 mm audio jack. Both the Honor 9X Pro packs 4000 mAh battery and runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 10.1 on top
