Yup, you heard it right after Zoom popularity and security issues made it less secure we saw Google making it’s exclusive Video Conferencing app Google Meet free for everyone. We even had many Video Conferencing apps in the past like Skype and Microsoft Teams. Recently we even saw Facebook adding up to 8 people on one video call through WhatsApp and 16 on Messenger app.
Now we have something big coming soon which is again from popular brand Jio and 100% made in India app with JioMeet. Yes, Jio is all jumping into the Video Conferencing app segment with its new JioMeet that will allow one to call nearly 100 people at just one call which is massive.
With its Q4 2019-2019 results, Jio also announced the new JioMeet which is video conferencing-cum-collaborative app. The new JioMeet will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. It easy to use with just OTP or email-based login and one can even log-in as Guest to use the app. One who log-in with email or OTP can share invite link to their friends.
The free plan under the JioMeet will allow nearly 5 users to make video call whereas the Business Plan can connect upto 100 users at once. User can select audio or video mode to answer the call. Corporate users can share the conference link with other participants, join a conference directly from the Chrome browser without registering, and call pre-registered video conference (VC) systems. The new JioMeet app will be live in the coming days and currently it’s available to select users only.
