Samsung launched its most expensive smartphone with Galaxy Fold earlier last year. Now the company is busy preparing for the successor with Galaxy Fold 2. Previously one of the tipsters leaked the some of the specs of the new Galaxy Fold 2 like the display size and resolution.
Now the same source has further leaked the remaining details along with alleged pricing info of the upcoming Galaxy Fold 2. As per the post, the new Galaxy Fold 2 will now feature triple rear cameras with 12MP+16MP+64MP sensor but not revealed whether it will have telephoto or ultra-wide sensor. But the rear camera will now feature Dual OIS support.
Further, the new Galaxy Fold 2 will be a lot cheaper than the predecessor as per the source. Yes, the new Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to cost between $1,880 (Rs.1,43,500/-) and $1,895 (Rs.1,44,500/-). So basically the new Galaxy Fold 2 will be $100 cheaper than the original even if it includes the better display and cameras.
Finally the new Galaxy Fold 2 is scheduled to launch alongside with Galaxy Note 20 series sometime in Aug or Sept this year. Anyway, the new Galaxy Fold 2 will be the next premium smartphone under $1900 this year and might get launched in more countries than expected.
