Previously we saw Redmi K30 4G variant was relaunched in India as POCO X2. We even had rumours about Redmi K30 Pro 5G might be the POCO F2. Now we have new rumours about Xiaomi plans to launch a cheaper variant of Redmi K30 5G with Redmi K30i in China.
As per the source, Xiaomi is all set to introduce the cheapest 5G smartphone in China with Redmi K30i soon. The new Redmi K30i might have almost all the internals same as the Redmi K30 5G but comes with a downgraded camera sensor. Yes, the new Redmi K30i will feature 48MP quad-rear camera instead of 64MP on the original.
Looks like Xiaomi following the footsteps of Oppo and Huawei which always use these tactics to sell their products for cheaper prices. Anyway, the source also revealed the expected pricing of the new Redmi K30i. The new Redmi K30i might be priced at 1799 Yuan (Rs.19,500/-) in China. So this makes the cheapest 5G smartphone in China till date.
Sadly, the source has not revealed about other specs and we can expect it to remain same as the Redmi K30 5G but we can expect Xiaomi might replace the chip with cheaper MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC.
