Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

Apart from Galaxy S20 series Samsung also unveiled its new foldable smartphone with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip in the US. The new Galaxy Z Flip functions almost similar to Moto Razr with clam-shell design. The new Galaxy Z Flip will arrive in Mirror Black and Mirror Purple colours.

The new Galaxy Z Flip cost $1380 (Rs.98,400/-) which is one of the cheapest foldable smartphones from Samsung. The Galaxy Z Flip will go on sale from Feb 14 in the US and South Korea. No word on Indian pricing and availability at the moment. The Galaxy Z Flip will soon land India. The new Galaxy Z Flip weighs 183 grams and measures 17.3 mm to 15.4mm thick when folded.

The new Galaxy Z Flip will arrive with Moto Razr like clam-shell design that folds inwards. The Galaxy Z Flip sports 6.7 inches FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display (2636 x 1080 pixels) with 21.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with bendable Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) that lasts for 2,00,000 folds. There is a secondary 1.1 inches external/cover Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 300 x 112p. The Galaxy Z Flip also comes with dedicated Flex Mode where the apps split into two parts of the display that puts the controls on the bottom half and in turn, the top half turns into a viewing area.

The new Galaxy Z Flip will be powered by SD855+ SoC with 5G modem coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The device features dual rear cameras with 12MP Super Speed dual pixel with an aperture of f/1.8 coupled with 12MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, LED flash, HDR10+, OIS, Up to 8x digital zoom and 4K video recording support. The Galaxy Z Flip comes with 10MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.4.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM (1-eSIM+1-SIM) with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support,  Dual-Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, NFC and side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The new Galaxy Z Flip packs 3300 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support and runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.0 on top.
