Previously we saw Xiaomi and Samsung partnering to launch the world’s first-ever 108MP Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright HMX Sensor with Mi Mix Alpha. Now we have some interesting leaks revealing the details of the upcoming Samsung sensor which might take the camera game to the next level.
As per the tipster, Samsung is currently working on the world’s first 144MP sensor based on 14nm FinFET process. Further, the source also revealed the images showing the infographics of the upcoming sensor. As per the infographics, the current CMOS sensor tech uses 10 million pixels to over 100 million with new 14nm FinFET process they could achieve min of 100 million pixels.
Further, with the help of the new FinFET process, the sensor will consume lesser power. The new 14nm FinFET process was used for imaging applications at IEDM last week. Anyway, the new 144MP camera tech might not make it official anytime soon.
