Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has finally launched the cheapest 5G phone in the world with Redmi K30 5G in China. Not just that Redmi has also launched the cheaper Redmi K30 4G version too along with Redmi K30 5G. The new Redmi K30 5G & 4G version will arrive in White, Blue Red and Purple colours.
The Redmi K30 4G will go on sale from Dec 12 in China whereas the Redmi K30 5G will be made available from Jan 2020. The new Redmi K30 4G 6GB+64GB cost 1599 Yuan (Rs.16,050/-), 6GB+128GB at 1699 Yuan (Rs.17,100/-), & 8GB+128GB at 1799 Yuan (Rs.19,100/-) in China. The Redmi K30 5G cost 1999 Yuan (Rs.20,200/-) for 6GB+128GB, 2599 Yuan (Rs.26,200/-) for 8GB+128GB and 2899 Yuan (Rs.29,200/-) for 8GB+256GB.
The new Redmi K30 5G and K30 4G come with almost similar design and the only difference is in terms of processor. The new Redmi K30 5G comes with 3D curved frosted glass body with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Both the device measures 8.79 mm thick and weighs 208 grams.
The Redmi K30 4G & Redmi K30 5G sport same 6.67 inches FHD+ IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rates. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top and HDR 10 support. The Redmi K30 4G is powered by the same SD730G as the Redmi K20 whereas the Redmi K30 5G with SD765G SoC with Snapdragon X52 modem for 5G. The Redmi K30 4G & Redmi K30 5G comes with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage version with microSD card slot.
The new Redmi K30 4G & Redmi K30 5G features quad-rear cameras with 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.89, OIS support, 8MP 120-degrees Ultra-wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2, 2MP depth sensor, 5MP (2MP on 4G) macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.4, 1.75μm with LED flash. It comes with 4K video recording at 30fps and 720p at 960fps. Both the device comes with Dual-selfie cameras with 20MP primary sensor and 2MP depth sensor.
The new Redmi K30 4G & Redmi K30 5G will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with IR blaster. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, 5G (K30 5G only), Dual Band Wifi, Dual Frequency GPS, GLONASS, NFC, FM Radio, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, & Bluetooth 5.0 support. The Redmi K30 4G & Redmi K30 5G also features 1217 Linear Speaker along with Smart PA.
The Redmi K30 4G & Redmi K30 5G packs 4500 mAh battery with 27W (4G) and 30W (5G) fast charging support. The new Redmi K30 4G & 5G runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top.
