With brands like OnePlus, Asus launching their flagship with new 90Hz refresh rate display we now have Oppo entering the race and has launched its first smartphone with Oppo Reno Ace. Not just that Oppo also unveiled the mid-range smartphone with Oppo K5 in China.
The new OPPO Reno Ace comes in Blue and Violet colours whereas the Oppo K5 in Green, Blue and White colours. The new OPPO Reno Ace with 8GB+128GB cost 3199 Yuan (Rs.32,000/-), 8GB+256GB at 3399 Yuan (Rs.34,000/-) and 12GB+256GB at 3799 Yuan (Rs.38,000/-) whereas the Oppo K5 with 6GB+128GB at 1899 Yuan (Rs.19,000/-), 8GB+128GB at 2099 Yuan (Rs.21,000/-) and 8GB+256GB at 2499 Yuan (Rs.25,000/-) in China. The new Oppo K5 & OPPO Reno Ace will go on sale from Oct 17 in China.
Oppo Reno Ace:
Oppo finally introduced the first true flagship under the Reno series with OPPO Reno Ace in China. The new OPPO Reno Ace comes with premium build with the 3D glass back having a glossy finish. The device measures 8.7 mm thick and weighs 200 grams. The Oppo Reno Ace comes with 4D gaming experience with real-time recognition in the game scene and vibrates phone accordingly.
The new OPPO Reno Ace sports 6.5 inches FHD+ AMOLED HDR display with 90Hz refresh rates and 135Hz sampling rates. It is powered by the latest SD855 Plus SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. Sadly, there is no microSD card slot.
The OPPO Reno Ace features quad-rear cameras with 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.79, 8MP 116-degrees Ultra-wide lens, 13MP 1/3″ telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, 20x digital zoom, f/2.4 aperture along with 2MP Macro lens, PDAF, OIS, EIS with LED flash. The new Oppo Reno Ace comes with 16MP selfie shooter.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C Port, in-display fingerprint scanner, 3.5 mm audio jack, and NFC support. The new OPPO Reno Ace features Stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos support. The device packs 4000 mAh battery and comes with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge support. OPPO Reno Ace runs on Android 9 Pie with Color OS 6.1 on top.
Oppo K5:
Oppo also unveiled the mid-range smartphone probably the Realme X2 rebranded version with Oppo K5 in China. The new Oppo K5 also looks similar to Realme X2 and comes with premium 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the back. The device weighs 182 grams and measures 8.6 mm thick.
The OPPO K5 sports 6.4 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is powered by SD730G coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage. The Oppo K5 comes with microSD card slot for further storage expansion.
The Oppo K5 features the same set of cameras as the Realme X2 with 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size and f/1.8 aperture, 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.25, 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4, 1.75μm pixel size and 2MP for 4cm macro with f/2.4 aperture with EIS, LED flash. The Oppo K5 features 32MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
