Earlier we saw Xiaomi teasing the latest budget offering with Redmi 8A launching soon in India. Now Xiaomi has finally launched the cheapest fast-charging smartphone with Redmi 8A in India. The new Redmi 8A will arrive in three colours with Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Sunset Red.
The Redmi 8A with 2GB+32GB is priced at Rs.6499/- whereas the 3GB+32GB at Rs.6999/- in India. The new Redmi 8A will go on sale from Sept 29 via Flipkart and mi.com. Starting from Sept 30 the Redmi 8A will be available in Mi Home outlets across India.
The new Redmi 8A comes with a polycarbonate back with unique Aura wave grip design and features splash resistant nano-coating. The device measures 9.4 mm thick and weighs around 188 grams. The Redmi 8A sports 6.22 inches HD+ Dewdrop display with 2.5D Curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
The Redmi 8A is powered by SD439 SoC coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with dedicated microSD card slot. The Redmi 8A features single 12MP rear camera using Sony IMX363 sensor with an aperture of f/1.9, Dual PD AF and LED flash. The Redmi 8A comes with 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0.
The Redmi 8A comes with Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS and FM Radio. It also features 3.5 mm audio jack along with USB Type-C port. Redmi 8A packs 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The Redmi 8A runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 out of the box.
