Earlier we saw Google jumping into the budget segment with Android Go that didn’t fare well in the market and struggling to mark its presence.
Now Google is working on a new plan with the feature phone in partnership with Nokia. Yes, Nokia and Google have now partnered to launch the first feature phone with Android OS out of the box. As per the video, we can get the first glimpse of the alleged Nokia feature phone running on stock Android.
The device look similar to any other Nokia feature phone with T9 Keypad below and 240p resolution display. The new video shows apps like Google Maps, Google Chrome, Android Settings running on the feature phone. Further, About the device section reveals that the Nokia feature phone runs on outdated Android 8.1 Oreo. With Android 10 launched we might expect the final device might launch with the latest software.
The source reveals that the alleged Android Feature phone might be official on Oct 15 launch event along with the new Pixel 4 series. Anyway, we have to wait for the official announcement to know more about the Nokia feature phone running on Android.
