Earlier we saw tons of Samsung older devices getting the new Android 9 Pie update with latest One UI. Now we have one more device added on the list with the budget phone Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017). Yes, you heard it right two-year-old device the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) is not getting the Android 9 Pie update.
The new Android 9 Pie update is currently rolling out for Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) sold in Russia and might expand in coming weeks. So its surprise that Samsung is pushing the update to even lower-end segment devices that is nearly two years old.
The new update also brings the latest August 2019 security patch along with newer One UI on top. Do check your device for the latest update and is always recommended to download the update via stable Wifi connection.
