Earlier we saw Samsung and LG are busy updating their older devices with the new Android 9 Pie update which is a bit late as we almost have the Android Q to be official. After updating the Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo we have the Galaxy J7 (2017) getting the Android 9 Pie update.
As per the source, the Android 9 Pie update is being rolled out to countries like Russia and Vietnam with build number J330FXXU3CSG6 and J330GDXU3CSG7, which also bring the latest July 2019 security patch. The source claims that soon the new Android 9 Pie update will be expanded to more countries in the coming weeks.
Apart from that, LG has finally started rolling out the new Android 9 Pie update for its last year flagship LG V40 ThinQ in India. The new Android 9 Pie update will bring features like Dual App, YouTube Live, Penta Shot and Cine shot for the camera. It also gets the 1st July Android security patch.
The new Android 9 Pie update weighs around 1.5GB in size and is recommended to use the stable Wifi connection to download the update. One can even try installing the update manually with the help of LG Bridge software.
