Earlier we saw Jio launching the smart feature phone with JioPhone that came along with Kai OS which is now leading the feature phone market, especially in India. Later we had few rumours about Google showing interest to develop an Android OS for feature phones. Now we finally got the first glimpse showing the first Nokia feature phone running Android OS.
As per the source, the new Android OS for feature phone will use completely different Chrome Code when compared with Android Go. As the OS is made for non-touch phones it utilises the D-pad for navigation. Now one of the tipsters has just leaked the first image showing the Android OS powered Nokia feature phone.
From the image, the device looks similar to previous Nokia feature phone but we can’t see any mention of Nokia branding due to it is protected by a case. Anyway, the device seems to be running the stock Android OS which shows the new Home Screen that comes with Google Assistant support.
Further, the screen indicates the Change speaking the language so this time the Assistant might come with multi-lingual support. Below that we can see the App drawer along with with few apps on the side with YouTube and Chrome browser. Further, on the top, we have regular icons for date and time along with the network. Further, we also got screenshots of running YouTube and Chrome app for a new OS which has gone serious design changes.
