Earlier we got press renders showing the camera set up on both the new Honor 20 & Honor 20 Pro which are all set for global debut in London later next month. We can also expect the Honor 20 & Honor 20 Pro might launch sooner in China. Now one of the tipsters just leaked the camera details of the new Honor 20 & Honor 20 Pro.
As per the source, Honor 20 is likely to feature Sony IMX586 48MP primary sensor. Further, it will be a custom sensor made in collaboration with Sony specifically for Honor 20. It will come with Red-Yellow-Yellow-Blue (RYYB) filter array instead of RGGB. We also saw the custom made Sony IMX600 on the Huawei P30 Pro with similar RYYB array.
Anyway, further, the tipster also revealed that the new Honor 20 Pro will have Sony IMX600 sensor as the primary camera with same RGGB sensor and no customization made. The new Honor 20 & Honor 20 Pro will be powered by Kirin 980 SoC and will run on Android 9 Pie out of the box.
