Earlier we saw various teasers and leaks about the new selfie smartphone the Redmi Y3. Now Xiaomi has finally made the Redmi Y3 official. Not just that Redmi also launched the Redmi 7 along with Redmi Y3 in India. Redmi Y3 comes in Elegant Blue, Bold Red colours and Prime Black colours whereas Redmi 7 in Comet Blue, Lunar Red and Eclipse Black colours.
The new Redmi 7 cost Rs.7999/- for 2GB+32GB whereas Rs.8999/- for 3GB+32GB and will go on sale from April 29 whereas the Redmi Y with 3GB+32GB cost Rs.9999/- and 4GB+64GB at Rs.11,999/- will go on sale from April 30 via Amazon and mi.com.
Redmi Y3:
Xiaomi finally launched the successor to last year launched Redmi Y2 with new Redmi Y3 in India. Earlier the device had polycarbonate cum metal body and now the Redmi Y3 with the Redmi Note 7 like Gradient glass back. The new Redmi Y3 measures 8.47 mm and weighs 180 grams.
The Redmi Y3 sports 6.26 inches HD+ IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. The new Redmi Y3 is powered by SD632 SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. it features a dedicated microSD card slot.
Redmi Y3 features dual rear cameras with the 12MP main sensor, 1.25um pixel size with an aperture of f/2.2, along with 2MP depth camera with LED flash and PDAF. There is a 32MP selfie sensor with an aperture of f/2.25 along with 0.8μm pixel size.
The Redmi Y3 features Dual SIM with Dual 4G and VoLTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port, IR blaster, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It comes with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Redmi Y3 packs 4000 mAh battery and runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top.

Redmi 7 takes the design from the Redmi Note 7 & Note 7 Pro comes with exactly similar looks but with trim down specs. Redmi 7 comes with a glossy plastic with gradient finish on the back and measures 8.47 mm thick. It weighs around 180 grams which are slightly on the higher side due to the huge battery.
The new Redmi 7 sports 6.26 inches waterdrop HD+ display similar to Redmi Note 7 has an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is covered with 2.5D curved glass on top with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. The Redmi 7 is powered by the SD632 SoC coupled with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB storage option. It also features a dedicated microSD card slot.
The new Redmi 7 comes with P2i nano-coating making it splash proof. The Redmi 7 features Dual rear cameras same as one found on Mi 6 with the 12MP primary sensor 1.12um pixel size, having an aperture of f/2.2 along with secondary 2MP depth camera, PDAF and LED flash. The new Redmi 7 features 8MP selfie shooter with Face Unlock option.
The new Redmi 7 also comes with a fingerprint scanner and IR Blaster.
