Earlier we saw Qualcomm announcing three new chipsets with SD665, SD730 & SD730G. Now the company is working on another chipset under the SD700 series with latest SD735 SoC. As per the source, the new SD735 will be built on the latest 7nm LPP process similar to flagship SD855 SoC.
It might be using the Samsung latest 7nm process instead of TSMC which offers a 20% increase in performance, 40% more space and almost 50% lesser power consumption. When compared with SD730 the SD735 might perform 10-20% more powerful.
The new SD735 will be the first-ever chipset to come with an integrated 5G modem which will make the device save some space for other parts. The SD735 will come with 1+1+6 cluster instead of 2+6 on SD730 where we have 1 Kyro Prime core clocked at 2.9 GHz, 1Kyro core at 2.4 GHz and 6 power efficient Kyro cores clocked at 1.8 GHz.
All this is coupled with 750MHz clocked Adreno 620 GPU for the better gaming experience. The SD735 SoC will also feature Machine learning with the NPU 220 clocked at 1GHz that in-directly brings support for 10GB/12GB RAM options under mid-range smartphones.
Further, the chipset gets support for 4K display with a resolution of 3360×1440 and having an aspect ratio of 21:9. Sadly, the SD735 SoC will not come anytime soon as it might launch by Q4 of 2019. We can expect the devices powering the SD735 SoC by early 2020.
