Earlier we had few rumours about Vivo bring the new Y-series lineup to India to take on Xiaomi along Samsung and others. Earlier we also had confirmation the Vivo will soon launch the new Vivo Y5 in India.
Now the same source reveals that the new Vivo Y5 has been rebranded as Vivo Y17 in India. We also got the press renders showing the new Vivo Y17 featuring waterdrop display and triple rear cameras aligned vertically with LED flash.
Further, the Vivo Y17 will also feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and will come with a glossy glass back. Further, the device will also come with fast charging support. As per earlier leaks, the new Vivo Y17 is expected to arrive with MediaTek Helio P35 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage variants.
Looks like Vivo is directly competing with Samsung Galaxy M30 and Galaxy A30 which are priced under Rs.15,000/- in India. So would you buy the new Vivo Y17 if priced under 15K?
