After announcing the flagship Sony Xperia 1 along with two mid-range smartphones with Sony Xperia 10 & Xperia 10 Plus, Sony is planning to bring back the cheaper Compact lineup. Earlier we had few rumors about Sony planning to ditch the Sony Xperia Compact lineup.
As per the source, Sony will introduce the new Sony Xperia 4 which will replace the Xperia Compact series. As per the image, we can see the comparison of the Sony Xperia 4 with Sony Xperia XZ5 Compact and Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact we can see there is no change in the width of the device which is stable at 65 mm.
The only change comes with the height of the device as the new Sony Xperia 4 looks taller than the other two due to the new 21:9 aspect ratio display. Further, the source confirms that the new Sony Xperia 4 will be powered by SD710 SoC.
The Sony Xperia 4 will be thinner at 8.3 mm and will run Android 9 Pie out of the box. The new Sony Xperia 4 will be exclusive to NTT DoCoMo in Japan.
