Earlier we got few firmware files leaked which gave us some of the key specs of the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. Earlier we also got a few renders showing the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active without a dial.
Today, Sammobile has now confirmed some of the specs along with few more details for the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. As per the source, the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active will sport smaller 1.1 inches display with a resolution of 360*360p without rotating bezel. Further, we have to use the smaller touchscreen to use the smartwatch.
Apart from that smaller display, Samsung has also reduced the battery capacity to 236 mAh. The source, also confirms that there is no other model in works with larger battery and display size and the only one model for now with SM-R500. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active will come with a redesigned charger where one has to place the watch horizontally over the charging pad.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active will come with 50ATM water resistant up to 50 meters. The device is powered by Exynos 9110 SoC coupled with 4GB internal storage and runs on Tizen 4.0.03 out of the box. The connectivity option includes Bluetooth 4.2 LE, Wifi and NFC support. It doesn’t come with 3G/4G support. It is also thicker when compared with previous smartwatches at 13.3 mm. Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is expected to launch along with Galaxy S10.
