Earlier we got a series of leaks and rumors about the mid-range devices with Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite but we never got any details regarding the 2019 flagship Pixel 4. Now a new commit from ASOP Gerrit leaks out one of the much-awaited features that the upcoming Pixel 4 might have.
As per the source, Google is trying to add a hardware feature of multi-SIM support on the upcoming Android 10. Further, one of Googler has also left a comment stating that the new 2019 Pixel aka Pixel 4 to ship with Dual SIM support. Earlier devices which include the Pixel 2 & Pixel 3 series arrive with just Single SIM support along with eSIM support but was unable to receive calls and messages on both the SIMs which was major cons of the devices.
Now with AOSP commits reveals that Google has added the new dual SIM mode which differentiates devices that support enablement of dual SIM mode from those that don’t, even if they have two or more SIM cards.” So we can expect the upcoming Pixel 4 might arrive with a single Physical SIM card slot along with secondary eSIM support similar to iPhone XS series.
