Earlier we got few renders showing the alleged codename Pulse aka Galaxy Watch Sport. Now XDA Developers has confirmed that the earlier leaked device will now be called Galaxy Watch Active.
As per source, one of the XDA Developer members has got access to the alleged Galaxy Watch Active firmware files which also leaked the specs of the device. As per the firmware files, the new Galaxy Watch Active comes with the model number SM-R500 which was previously rumored as Galaxy Watch Sport.
The new Galaxy Watch Active sports 1.3 inches circular display with a resolution of 360*360p. The new Galaxy Watch Active is powered by Exynos 9110 SoC and runs on Tizen 4.0.0.3 OS. The new Galaxy Watch Active comes with speaker along with NFC support.
It packs lower 230 mAh battery which is low and the source further claims that the higher variant might ship with a larger battery. Further, the Galaxy Watch Active will also come with LTE model with support for Dual e-SIM. It will also feature the Heart Rate sensor and comes with Glove mode, Bixby Assistant, and a gyroscope. The new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active will be available in silver, blue, black, and gold colors.
