Earlier we had few patents filing by Oppo for the new 10x optical zoom camera sensor on first ever smartphone. Now Oppo has officially started sending out media invites for the launch event of the upcoming 10x optical zoom camera based smartphone in China.
As per the invite, we can see Oppo teasing the new 10x lossless optical zoom on the smartphone which is scheduled to launch on Jan 16 in China. The invite also shows the 90 degrees vertical line passing through the prism which confirms the upcoming smartphone to feature vertically aligned cameras.
Further, the lens also has support for OIS. From the media-invite, we just can’t confirm whether Oppo is actually launching the smartphone with 10x optical zoom camera or its just showing the prototype of the camera at the moment.
