After brands like Honor, Huawei, Asus, Samsung announced their list of devices receiving the new Android 9 Pie update we now have Xiaomi following the suite. As per the source, the Xiaomi has promised to provide the Android 9 Pie update to some of its devices.
Xiaomi is all set to push the new Android 9 Pie update to the Redmi S2 aka Redmi Y2, Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi Note 5 aka Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Mi 6X by end of Q1 2019. The devices sold in China will be the first to receive the new Android 9 Pie update and later we might expect Indian variants to follow the suite.
As per the source, the above devices will soon get the Android 9 Pie update along with latest MIUI by end of March 2019. One can also sign-up for the internal beta program which is launched for the above devices.
