Earlier we had got various leaks and rumors about the upcoming Redmi smartphone. Xiaomi also announced Redmi will now independent brand and might launch flagship in coming weeks. Today, Xiaomi sub-brand has finally unveiled the new Redmi Note 7 in China.
The new Redmi Note 7 will arrive in Black, Blue, and Purple colors and is priced at just 999 Yuan (Rs.10,400/-) for 3GB+32GB, 1199 Yuan (Rs.12,500/-) for 4GB+64GB, and 1399 Yuan (Rs.14,550/-) for 6GB+64GB variant. Xiaomi is also offering 18 months of warranty instead of 12 months. The new Redmi Note 7 will go on sale from Jan 15 in China.
The new Redmi Note 7 comes with glossy glass back with gradient design. The Redmi Note 7 weighs around 186 grams and is 8.1 mm thick. The new Redmi Note 7 sports 6.3 inches FHD+ (2340 ×1080p) waterdrop display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D Curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection on both front as well as the back of the device.
Redmi Note 7 is powered by the SD660 SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. It comes with microSD card slot up to 256GB. The new Redmi Note 7 features AI Dual rear camera with a whopping 48MP primary sensor which is currently using 1/2″ Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor instead of Sony IMX586 due to issues with mass production of the sensor. Xiaomi also announced that they will be releasing the Redmi Note 7 with Sony sensor later in Spring 2019.
It features 48MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, 1.6μm pixel size four-in-one pixel binning to make a 12MP image, EIS, along with 5MP secondary sensor, PDAF and LED flash. There is 13MP selfie shooter at the front with AI beauty and Face Unlock features.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack with AK 98937 Smart PA audio DAC, IR sensor and fingerprint scanner. The new Redmi Note 7 runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. The Redmi Note 7 packs 4000 mAh battery with Qualcomm QC 4.0 fast charging support.
