Reliance launched the new JioPhone which became the number 1 feature phone in the Indian market. Earlier we had also got the successor with JioPhone 2 which was slightly overpriced when compared with the original. Now Reliance is pushing out OTA update that can make the JioPhone into 4G Wifi Hotspot.
As per the source, Jio has recently pushed OTA update to few JioPhone units which have enabled the option of turning on the Wifi Hotspot feature. Further, the company has also promised the OTA update rollout to hit all devices in coming days.
To check if you have received the updated one can check under the Internet sharing option in the Setting panel where there is an option of Wifi Hotspot. We all complained about the most needed feature and it took over two years to bring the much-needed feature to JioPhone.
