With brands like OnePlus, Huawei, Honor, OnePlus and Xiaomi started rolling out the much-awaited Android 9 Pie update for their devices Samsung is still behind with no news about the new update. Earlier we had got few leaks which revealed the list of Samsung devices getting the Android 9 Pie update.
Today, Samsung China has officially announced the roadmap of the Android 9 Pie update for its smartphones and tablets. As per the listing, the first device to get the latest update will be for the Samsung Galaxy S9 (SM-G9600 / G9608)/ Galaxy S9+ (SM-G9650) along with Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N9600) by Feb 2019.
The next smartphone is none other than the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star which is will receive the update by March 2019. The next set of devices include the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite, Galaxy A9 2018, Galaxy A9 Star (SM-G8858), Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 by April 2019.
Later in May 2019, Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite & Galaxy Tab S4 will receive the update. In the month of August Samsung W2019 will start receiving the Android 9 Pie update whereas, in Sept Samsung W2018, Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy A6s will receive the update. By October Samsung Galaxy J6 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2018 10.5 inches are scheduled to receive the update.
Do note that all the above mention devices will come with latest One UI skin along with the new Android 9 Pie update.
