Xiaomi has finally given the new Christmass gift to its fans in China with the latest mid-range smartphone Xiaomi Mi Play. Xiaomi Mi Play comes in Black, Dream Blue, and Twilight Gold colors and is priced at 1099 Yuan (Rs.11,200/-) in China. The new Xiaomi Mi Play already up on sale in China from today. The device will also free 10GB 4G data for 12 months in China.
The new Xiaomi Mi Play is the first smartphone from Xiaomi to feature the Oppo F9 like waterdrop notch. The new Xiaomi Mi Play comes with glass-like back with gradient finish for some colors. The new Xiaomi Mi Play weighs around 150 grams and is 7.8 mm thick.
The new Xiaomi Mi Play sports 5.84 inches FHD+ display with a resolution of 2280*1080p and having an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is covered by the 2.5D curved glass along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.
The Xiaomi Mi Play becomes the first smartphone to ship with new 12nm based MediaTek Helio P35 SoC Octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz with 680 MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The Xiaomi Mi Play is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
The new Xiaomi Mi Play features Dual rear cameras with a 12MP main sensor having an aperture of f/2.2, 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF, EIS, along with 2MP secondary sensor with LED flash. The rear camera comes with standard AI camera features like AI scene detection. There is an 8MP selfie sensor which also doubles up as face unlock. It also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C port. It comes with lower 3000 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 on top.
