Samsung has finally started rolling out the much awaited major Android update with Android 9 Pie to its premium 2018 flagship Samsung Galaxy S9 & Galaxy S9+ today. After series of beta updates, we finally have the stable version of Android 9 Pie update rolling out globally.
Currently, the devices in Germany are receiving the new stable Android 9 Pie update and will later expand to other markets. Earlier we had few rumors about the Samsung planning to roll out the update to Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ starting from Jan 2019. The new OTA update weighs around 1.7 GB and is better to download the update using a stable Wifi connection.
The new update will bring the recently announced Samsung One UI for more details click here. The update also brings latest December Security patch along with Android 9.0 Pie. We hope Samsung soon roll out the update even for other smartphones.
