Apple launched the new iPad 9.7 inches along with iPad Pro line up earlier last month but forgot to launch the upgraded version of its smaller variant with iPad Mini. The last iPad Mini 4 was launched back in 2015 and till date, we never saw the new variant announced.
Now as per a report by China Times, Apple is considering to bring back the iPad Mini series with new iPad Mini 5 along with the 9.7 inches iPad by early 2019. The report also claims that the iPad Mini 5 has chances of entering mass production anytime soon.
Further, Apple will also announce the new 9.7 inches iPad with slimmer bezels and will ship with new Face ID over the Touch ID. The report confirms that the iPad Mini 5 will launch by the first half of 2019. Further, we have got few images showing the protective case for upcoming iPad Mini 5.
As per the source, the new iPad Mini 5 will feature Quad speaker on top and bottom of the device along with 3.5 mm audio jack which is surprising. There is a camera with LED flash cut-out along with the hole for the mic on the back of the device.
