Earlier we had rumors claiming that Apple will launch its foldable smartphone in 2019.Now UPSTO has released the new Apple patent document on their website which is for the flexible displays for the upcoming Foldable iPhones.Earlier we also had rumors that Apple and LG have partnered for the flexible OLED panels and also Apple chooses LG over Samsung due to that Samsung might leak their details.
As per document published on UPSTO website, it clearly mentions that users can open and close the display and use it as a book.Earlier we even had leaks about the foldable iPhones which will not launch earlier than 2020 and as Samsung launching its first foldable smartphone with Samsung Galaxy X anytime next year so probably we can expect Apple might even launch sooner than expected.The latest patent also mentions that the display uses either LCD, OLED, and microLED.It will use the filling of amorphous metal in between the display so that it can be folded and opened.
Apple will implement microLED technology in the upcoming flexible displays for foldable iPhones due to which it is being delayed until 2021 so by that time the microLED tech will be developed.So are you interested in the upcoming foldable iPhones?
