Vivo NEX Dual Display

Vivo has finally updated its NEX series with the successor Vivo NEX in China. The new Vivo NEX doesn’t feature selfie camera instead will rely on the rear camera as it features Dual displays. The new Vivo NEX will arrive in Ice Blue and Star Purple colors and is priced at 4998 Yuan in China (Rs.52,100/-). The new Vivo NEX will go on sale from Dec 29 in China.

After launching the pop-up selfie camera on the original Vivo NEX series now the company has ditched the selfie camera for Dual display tech on the successor with Vivo NEX. The new Vivo NEX is made out of metal chassis with glossy glass on the back which also carries secondary display. The new Vivo NEX weighs 199.2 grams and is 8.09 mm thick.

The new Vivo NEX sports primary 6.39 inches FHD+ bezel-less Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 along with secondary 5.49 inches FHD Super AMOLED display. The new Vivo NEX is powered by the same old SD845 SoC coupled with 10GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The Vivo NEX features triple rear cameras aligned horizontally along with new Lunar ring which carries the 16 RGB LED lights that glow once notification is received. It features 12MP Dual PD primary Sony IMX363 sensor with an aperture of f/1.79, 4-Axis OIS, secondary 2MP Vision camera with an aperture of f/1.8, 2.9μm pixel size and 3D TOF camera with an aperture of f/1.3 coupled with Dual Tone Dual LED flash. Do note that the Vivo NEX doesn’t come with Selfie camera.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C Port, 3.5 mm audio jack and in-display fingerprint scanner. The new Vivo NEX also features AK-4377A amplifier for better audio. The Vivo NEX is packed by 3500 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. It runs on Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS 4.5 on top.
