Earlier Nokia launched the new Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 with standard 18:9 aspect ratio display which arrived with thicker notch and not so good specs. Now we have spotted three new design patent filed by Nokia with EUIPO.
As per the listing, we can see all the three smartphones featuring a similar 18:9 aspect ratio display without notch. Anyway, we are still not sure as we already have the all the three devices with Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 officially launched by the company. The above designs might be for the successor which will be launching later next year.
As per the patent filing, the Nokia 2.1 design was submitted on May 7, Nokia 5.1 on May 4 and both were published by EUIPO on November 20 & November 8 respectively. Whereas the new Nokia 3.1 Plus design patent was submitted on 24 Sept and was published on November 26.
