Samsung is all set to unveil the new Samsung Galaxy S10 later next year and we already have the heart of the phone launched. Samsung officially unveils the new Exynos 9820 SoC which will be powering the International variant of the Samsung Galaxy S10.
The new Exynos 9820 SoC is built on an 8nm LPP FinFET process when compared to 10nm FinFET process on the predecessor. The new Exynos 9820 SoC has 4th gen CPU with two custom cores along with two powerful Cortex A75 cores and four power-efficient Cortex A55 cores.
With the new configuration, the Exynos 9820 SoC will come with 15% more better multi-core performance when compared with Exynos 9810 along with 20% more single core and 40% more power efficient. It does ship with new LTE-Advanced Pro modem and forgets to mention about the next gen of communication with 5G. The new LTE-Advanced Pro modem comes with download speeds up to 2GBps.
Apart from that the Exynos 9820 SoC also features 4×4 MIMO, 256-QMA, and eLAA technology for faster speeds. The new Exynos 9820 SoC ships with more powerful GPU with Mali-G76 cores which gives 40% better performance and 35% more power efficient than the predecessor. Finally, Samsung adds the dedicated NPU which will make the AI process seven times faster and also helps to get better images under the low-light situation. The new Exynos 9820 SoC will go on mass production by end of 2018 and might make its debut with Samsung Galaxy S10 next year.
